Stylightis the world’s leading online search platform that help online shoppers in 16 countries worldwide find Fashion, Beauty & Design brands. We interviewed Alyssa Leccese(Lead Partner Growth Manager US/CA) to tell you more about the all-inclusive online shopping platform.
Can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Alyssa Leccese, the Lead Partner Growth Manager for the US and Canada. My background is in partner development, retention and acquisition. In my current role, I am responsible for Stylight’s development within the US and Canadian markets.
Can you introduce Stylight and its core business values?
Founded in 2008, Stylight is the world’s leading online search platform for Fashion, Beauty, and Design. We help online shoppers in 16 countries worldwide search more than 1,500 online shops at once and compare prices of more than 50k brands. With one easy click, the users that show an interest in our partners’ products are redirected to their online shop’s page. Our users simply proceed with their order on the partner’s website, increasing direct sales, traffic, and brand awareness for their business.
Tell us more about your audience and what types of advertisers do you work best with?
We are active in 16 markets with 160 million yearly shoppers. Our users are, on average, 65% female and 35% male, with the highest share between ages 25-34. Almost half (49%) of them are shopping for premium or luxury brands on Stylight. Through our pre-qualified traffic, we can offer our partners an average return on investment of 4. Our core verticals are Fashion, Beauty, and Design.
What is the most exciting time of year for you as a business?
The most exciting time for our business definitely is the end of the year: many brands & retailers are seeking for additional visibility during the holiday season and therefore want to collaborate with us. Keeping in mind the different needs of our partners during this very competitive time, we also developed a wide range of special placements to increase their sales and visibility. We, for example, offer Christmas Gift Guides for brands willing to position their brand via storytelling features, but also features in our Seasonal Sales Landing Page for those more interested in targeting discount-savvy users.
What is one fun fact about Stylight?
We’re a team of more than 100 people coming from more than 25 million nations all around the globe, and one fun fact about it is that there is not a single team besides our HR department where all team members speak the same mother tongue.
What would you say are the biggest benefits for an advertiser working with Stylight?
We offer product listing on our site, enabling brands & retailers to acquire new shoppers, grow their revenue and reach their full market potential. We offer additional visibility to our partners through special placements which highlight their products for seasonal events as well as all year round. Finally, we offer advertising solutions, including a variety of branded content options to our valued partners as well as to partners not on Stylight.
What makes Stylight an exciting company?
Stylight is an exciting company because we are partner-first and solutions-based. We are focused on the success of our partners by helping them acquire new shoppers and boost revenue through product listings and content placements.
Any exciting plans coming up in the next 12 months?
Absolutely! We’re currently working on exciting user interface improvements. I know UI is often seen as more customer-oriented than business-oriented, but we’re convinced that by offering an experience as flawless as possible to our users, their prequalification will increase; and we will therefore bring even better results for the brands and retailers listed on Stylight.
Where do you think is the affiliate space heading to in the next year and what are the main market disruptions?
Affiliate marketing will continue to grow as shoppers continue to interact with the digital world via Social Media and Ecommerce. We’ve for example seen a real boom for livestream shopping in the last couple of years, and influencer marketing keeps gaining momentum as well, so it’s fair to expect social commerce sales to thrive in the next decade. I can also imagine that within affiliate marketing programs, some sectors will experience significant growth. Fashion of course comes top-of-mind when thinking of affiliate marketing, but we can expect sports and beauty to flourish in the next couple of years.
